Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) Vacancy in steel slags or nonferrous metallurgical slags 

𝟭- PDF candidates must have been conferred/obtained their 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 from a recognized institution 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 (𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿) 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 before the (calendar) year of application (regardless of the date of the degree conferment) 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗯𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝘅 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 from the submission date of the application.

​𝟮- PDF candidate is expected to hold Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Chemistry, and material science with experience in geopolymers. Strong background in alkali-activated materials with a strong track record of published articles in steel slags and nonferrous metallurgical slags.

​𝟯- PDF candidate 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 (Q1) according to the “Journal Citation Report” latest ranking, 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿.

​𝟰- The publications should be 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 alkali-activated materials and/or steel slags or a closely related field.​ ​

  1. Alkali-activated materials chemistry and their practical applications

  2. Silico-aluminophosphate (SAP) geopolymers

  3. Geopolymer Artificial Aggregates (GPA)

  4. Municipal solid waste incineration bottom ash (MSWI-BA) waste treatment

  5. Recycling of incinerated sewage sludge ash (ISSA)


Candidates are expected to hold:

  1. Master's degree from a reputable university in a closely related area

  2. A good understanding of the behavior and analysis of cement chemistry

  3. A strong background in experimental work with a good publication record
